A new formulation designed to facilitate
downscaled low-volume extraction protocols, where minimizing cost and volume is critical. Low-volume extraction protocols enable fast, cost-effective, and automation-friendly DNA extraction from any plant tissue type.
“CLS” refers to Cotyl, Leaf, and Seed breeding.
When basic protocols are downscaled, it creates a ripple effect across surrounding processes. By downscaling volumes without loss of performance, the SC workflow reduces reagent use, lowers plastic waste, and increasing throughput.
For certain plant species, pre-treatment may need adjustment for low-volume processing, such as reducing sample input or increasing lysis buffer volume to maximise extraction efficiency

Through close collaboration, we have successfully automated our extraction workflows, including MagSi-DNA Plant CLS, as well as our DNA clean-up chemistry.
